Scuba Diving in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is probably not the first place you would think of when you consider scuba diving in Asia, but if you are living there for any length of time you may be surprised at what it has to offer.

Hong Kong Dive Clubs and Dive centres dive in Hong Kong most weekends from large, comfortable junks and also organise family-friendly dive trips. They try to get out to the best dive sites in Hong Kong

3 piers around Hong Kong:

Aberdeen Boat Club, Wong Chuk Hang, Aberdeen. This provides access to the diving in the south of Hong Kong, which can be a bit of an acquired taste. It has the potential for more depths and often has worse visibility than other areas, so the diving is more challenging and you need a good torch. But it also has some areas which are extremely rich in soft coral.

Tai Mei Tuk, near Tai Po. This gives us access to Tolo Harbour and Mirs Bay, up in the North-East of Hong Kong, as well as more remote sites such as Tung Ping Chau.

Tso Wo Hang, near Sai Kung. This provides access to the Sai Kung peninsula including the lovely beaches at Tai Long Wan and Long Ke Wan. We can also get out to some of the more exposed sites such as Breakers Reef.
